Weekend Recap

On Sunday, we picked up my sister and her family and took them blueberry picking up at Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson, NY. It was the first time my niece picked blueberries and she did really good. She only picked the purple ones. ;) They also had some veggies that looked great so we picked summer squash, cucumbers, peppers and broccoli...YUM!

After, we took them to our favorite brew pub...The Gilded Otter. The weather was perfect and no traffic on the long ride home made for a perfect end to the weekend. :)

Saturday was spent at Shea Stadium. The Mets were playing host to the Colorado Rockies. The weather was perfect. It was sunny but not too hot and there was a fabulous breeze. And, it was a giveaway day...the kiddos got Met Build-a-Bears. So CUTE. I think they named them Shea and Homerun. ;)

Happy Pink Saturday! I have been going thru my summer photos and I came across this cool shot of my DD in her bright pink shirt in front of the M in MMOCA...Miami Museum of Contemporary Art. Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
