Organized?

Image
If you are anything like me, you are always in search of thee perfect way to stay on top of yours, the kids' and hubby's schedules. Do you have a gazillion little notes and receipts in your bag, car and/or on your fridge!? Do you constantly have to reschedule appointments just because you realized when you got home that you already had something going on that day? Kiddos in sports, afterschool, band, clubs, yadda, yadda, yadda? And, Heavens forbid you work outside the home. How do you keep track of it all and of course be stylish at the same time????? Why, you have a who mi organizer!!!!! I saw this and let me tell you it is PERFECT-O!!!!! Small enough to fit in your bag, stylish enough to keep you looking cute and big enough to hold all that important info. So are you gettin' one? Huh? Huh? Oh and did I mention they are on sale? :D Check them out...http://www.mywhomi.com/clarity.html Cyas! Mo

How Much is Too Much Challenge #3

Image
I've been itching to try some of these really cool challenges that people have been posting over a 2peas but always have other things to do. Well, this weekend I finally had some me time. So, I did my first challenge. This one is for the "How Much is Too Much" challenges. You had to use 5 pieces of *fabricy* type things on your layout. I used ric rac, 3 different ribbons, a twill embellie and I threw in velvet letters just in case. Soooo FUN! I hope to get some more challenges done. I have all of Paula's ad inspiration challenges printed off. Those are next on my hit list. :) Cyas! Mo

Beading

Image
*sigh* I love little girlies doing crafty things. :) So, when Natty said she wanted to make necklaces and bracelets for her birthday, I was thrilled. We had her party at Michael's Arts & Crafts. They do such a CUTE party. When we first got there, they had a big card waiting for all Natalie's friends to sign. They colored while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. When all the guests were there, it was time to get down to beading. First it was bracelets. Most girls made name bracelets. Necklaces were anything goes. But the glow in the dark beads were a hot item. Too CUTE! We ate lunch. I made mini sandwiches in the shapes of flowers and butterflies. I was very impressed with myself. I, of course, forgot to take a picture of my cute little sandwiches tho. :( We sang happy birthday to Natalie over the loud speaker so the whole store could hear them. That was a HUGE hit!!! We wrapped up the party with some princess crowns that the girls adorned with all sort

Birth*Week*????

So, I know you've heard of birthdays but birthweeks?? It seems that's what my kiddos birthdays are turning into. Between the in-school celebration, family party, actual day of mini celebration and the friends party, we are celebrating their birthdays over an over again. I don't ever remember that happening to me when I was little. Matter of fact, I hardly remember organized friend parties at all. :O I bring this up because I am getting ready for the grand finale...my DD's friend party. We are beading necklaces at Michaels. FUN! After this one tho, we are partyless for a loooooong time. And that's great cuz this Mommy is tired. ;) Happy BirthWeek All! :D

Things I *Heart* Right Now

Dirk Nowitzki : The NBA finals are in full swing and altho I want the Heat to win I can't help but root for Dirk. Tall, blond and an AMAZING shooter. What more can you ask for in a ball player? ;) Ballet Flats : I bought two pairs for the season...a practical black pair and a funky gold pair. Too Flippin' CUTE! Cheap vintage tops : I am in love with that whole sweet vintage 60's look...thin capris, ballet flats and cute funky tops a la MTM on the Dick Van Dyke Show. I just got me thee CUTEST black & white polka dot top with buttons and a bow at H&M. At $24.50, it was a steal. Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches : Oh man! DELISH! But, at the rate I eat them, I'll be anything BUT skinny come July. :D Running : Been doing a lot of it lately and it feels FABULOUS! Ain't nothing like a runner's high! :D Pretty Pink Lip Gloss : My favorite is from Nars called Foul Play. You can get it at Sephora. Share what floats your boat these days. :)

Quotes

I love using quotes on my layouts. Sometimes it is exactly the message or sentiment I want to get across on my page. I must also admit that I'm not a sappy journaler (is that a word??). I am more of a "just the facts ma'am" kinda story teller. I make sure to get the who, what, where and when down and I'm happy. So, when I come across a quote that can express my feelings, I use it. I also keep a little notebook of quotes. And, sometimes I even remember to jot them down in there. LOL! Lately, I've come across a few quotes worth jotting down. Here they are. Enjoy! Happiness is the road we travel Not the destination Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Thomas Merton Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means you've learned to look beyond the imperfections. The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure. Sven Goran Eriksson Never let the fear of striking out get in your way. Babe Ruth

Feel Good Friday

I've been running. It's been a looong time since I ran. I almost forgot that FABULOUS runners high you get when you're done. I love that feeling. Like I could do anything I imagine. :) I feel good! I took a new yoga class today, ashtanga yoga. Not only do I want to be fit, but I also strive to feel centered and balanced. I took my first step today. It feels good. I am letting go of some things with my scrapbooking and just having fun. Doing what makes me happy. Playing around with some new ideas. It feels good. I am saying no to some things. I am stretched too thin. I cannot possibly do it all and do it as well as I expect myself to do it. So, I am making some things top priorty and others well, I'm just saying no to them! Whew, that feels good! :) Change always scares me. I like things to stay just the way they are. But, I know that is not realistic. So, whatever is in store for me in the future, I'm welcoming with open arms. And last but certai
