Random Ramblings

I have been really good about staying positive in life. Always trying to look on the brightside...looking for that elusive silver lining, etc. But, every now and then you just have to let it out. Well, today is one of those days. So, here goes... *Perfection is relative. A job well done does *not* mean it has to be perfect. Perfectionists pretty much suck! :( *Nagging and nitpicking do *not* work! Positive reinforcement is the only way! :) *Gossiping is never good. No, no, no. Only bad can come of it. So just don't do it! *If you have absolutely nothing positive to say, then keep your big fat mouth shut! *I've truly had about all the flippin' rain I can handle for one season! So, STOP ALREADY!!!!! *If you try to please everyone, you will end up pleasing no one. So, just do what makes you happy. Say no to things that really and truly do not matter at the end of the day. *Dust!! Why must I dust the same freaking room 3 times a week??? Well, I ain't doing i

Blueberries & Grapes

When we woke up on Sunday morning, we had no plans. But, the weather was just too perfect to stay home. So, a quickie search of the internet led us to Litchfield County, CT. I have no idea what we did before the web but I'm sure glad we have it now. But, I digress. Our first stop was March Farms in Bantam, CT. Beautiful, quaint and the berries were plentiful. And, less than an hour away from home. :) The kiddos were so excited to see so many blueberry bushes filled with berries ripe for picking. They were running from one to another screaming, come here I found a blue mine...get it instead of a gold mine. LOL! ;) Of course, now we are all hungry from the hard work of blueberry picking. ;) We stopped and ate a fabulously delish meal at Wood's BBQ pit. Oh My!!! The pulled pork and sweet potato fries!!! And!!!! They had their very own Teamonade!!! YUM-O! Stew done good finding this place. :D Lastly, we hit Hopkins Vineyard for a little wine tasting. We were *

Birthday Mini Album

Image
I don't know about you, but I have a really hard time scrapping birthday photos. I'm not sure if it's because of the sheer number of pix from one event. Or, if it is because there are usually distracting backgrounds in the photos. Well, whatever it is, I put off scrapping them like the plague. LOL! They need to be scrapped tho. So, I thought maybe if I make a mini album, it'll make it much easier to get birthdays documented and in a fun way too. I made this mini album for my son's 8th birthday celebration. It is one piece of 12x12 cardstock folded in half and then accordian folded. I covered it with some new gorgeous Imagination Project paper and embellished it with some of my favorite things like Heidi Swapp ghost letters, swirl clip & index tab, American Crafts brads, Strano ribbon and Making Memories metal charms. The inserts pull out to reveal photos, journaling and a gift list. For the photos, I just used my big honkin' square punch. I was able

Dare #34

Image
This is the first time I'm doing one of these dares. I've always wanted to do them just never had enough time. Now with it being summer and we don't have so much of a schedule, I have lots of free time to scrap. Yay! :D So, I got my first dare under my belt and I LOVE it. It forced me to do a layout about myself. Something I almost never do because I have so very few photos of myself. I am gonna take care of that tho. I need to get in more shots. My great grandkiddos are not gonna know what I look like. LOL! K, the dare was to create a list and a list is what I did. It's a random list of things I *dig* at the moment! Enjoy! Mo

Da 1st!

Image
And, you all know what that means...SJ upload day. I was *super* lucky to work with new paper and rub ons from Imagination Project. Fab Funky patterns and the colors worked *SO* flippin' good with my San Diego pix. Take a look... And, the technique was index prints. I wanted to do something totally cool so I came up with this. Took a looooooong time do but so worth it. I absolutely LOVE having all my vaca pix in one spot like this. Fun! Have a FABOO Holiday!!!!
