Mother's Day BBQ

This year we celebrated Mother's Day one day early. Sunday is such a hard day to do anything. Everyone has to leave early because of work and school the next day. And restaurants are always so crowded and the food is never as good as it usually is. So we BBQed and enjoyed a nice casual day.

I got the new Robin Miller cookbook...Robin to the Rescue. I got a new Yankee Candle...Beach Walk. A Making Memories decorative tray kit and a Rachael Ray moppini. Natty wrote me apoem and made me a magnet and a plate too. I scored!

To one of the best Moms I know, Have a very Happy Mother's Day! You girls are gorgeous! I'm so excited to see that new baby!! The grandbabies are adorable w/ their Grandma, they are just so sweet!

Happy Pink Saturday! I have been going thru my summer photos and I came across this cool shot of my DD in her bright pink shirt in front of the M in MMOCA...Miami Museum of Contemporary Art. Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
