I'll have to add that one to my list. I'm reading "The Girl Who Stopped Swimming" by Joshilyn Jackson. It's her third book, and I've read the other two. So far this one seems good. I highly recommend her first book, "Gods in Alabama".

I always recommend Eat, Pray, Love - I also just read Alice Hoffman's At Risk and enjoyed it:)

I've been reading Meg Cabot's books -- the first was "The Boy Next Door" which is a book about life, friends, work in NYC. It's so funny -- and the whole book is a series of emails!

So I picked up another of her books, "Boy Meets Girl," and come to find, its a lot like the first I read. The main characters are different, but the people from the other book appear too! This one is a series of emails, desk memos, instant messages, menus, receipts, etc. Its SO CLEVER!!

Happy Pink Saturday! I have been going thru my summer photos and I came across this cool shot of my DD in her bright pink shirt in front of the M in MMOCA...Miami Museum of Contemporary Art. And another on a floor of records... And this is a shot of the family in front of La Carretta cuban restaurant in Little Havana. I rooster smoking a cigar. Gotta love it. :) This turned into a where in the world is the little girl in the pink tank top post but it was fun to relive those summer vacation memories again. Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
