Beading


*sigh* I love little girlies doing crafty things. :) So, when Natty said she wanted to make necklaces and bracelets for her birthday, I was thrilled.

We had her party at Michael's Arts & Crafts. They do such a CUTE party. When we first got there, they had a big card waiting for all Natalie's friends to sign. They colored while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. When all the guests were there, it was time to get down to beading. First it was bracelets. Most girls made name bracelets. Necklaces were anything goes. But the glow in the dark beads were a hot item. Too CUTE!

We ate lunch. I made mini sandwiches in the shapes of flowers and butterflies. I was very impressed with myself. I, of course, forgot to take a picture of my cute little sandwiches tho. :( We sang happy birthday to Natalie over the loud speaker so the whole store could hear them. That was a HUGE hit!!!

We wrapped up the party with some princess crowns that the girls adorned with all sorts of foam shapes.

All in all a GREAT party!!!

Gosh, I wish I had known that Michaels did birthday parties 2 weeks ago. My daughter just turned 6 and that would have been a GREAT party. Maybe next year. Looks like it was fun! :)

Ohhh Martha Martha! Sounds like so much fun! I cant wait until Lacy is old enough for this stuff! Mind you I am sure that ds would LOVE making necklaces anyhow. He LOVES stringing beads.

I don't know, the beading looks like so much fun. I'd kinda like being there making myself a necklace, fo sho!!!

I have to tell ya Ramona, that Natty's hair looked PERFECT that day, her bangs could not be cuter and those braids!!!!!!!!!! Gosh she was waaaaay over on the cuteness scale that day!!!!

Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
