Wisdom Teeth....ARGH!


Wisdom teeth! Who needs them? Why do we even get them if we don't need them? Is it just to cause pain? Or perhaps fund the dentist profession!? LOL!!!

As some of you may know, I've been suffereing with wisodom teeth problems the last couple of weeks. Well, the pain got so bad that I had to get into the oral surgeon asap.

So, on Tuesday while under laughing gas and novacaine, I had the last of my two wisdom teeth removed. After a couple of days recovery, I am almost back to normal. But, my wallet is markedly lighter. What a racket....$675.00 to take out two teeth!!! :O

But, even thru all that pain, I managed to scan another of the cards from World Card-Making Day....isn't the little penguin so cute!?

And I am saving your post for Dave. Our dentists wants hime to get his taken out, and he is pushing it off. I don't think he should wait til they start hurting!

That card is adorable! And I feel for you on the wisdom teeth thing. You raise a good point. Why do we have them if they just end up taking them out? Let me know if you ever figure that one out. Glad you are feeling better.

Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
