Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

I'm a little late with my Friday Faves. It's been a week. But, let's move onto something good. Here goes...

I'm linking up with my girls. Andrea, Erika and Narci.

First up is my new favorite show:

Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. Oh my Word! I was perusing the channels a few weeks ago and I came across an episode of this show and I was immediately mesmerized. I quickly binge watched season 1 and I'm all caught up. They are currently on Season 2. I never knew anything about Scientology. I mean nothing. After watching the show, I feel like I can have an intelligent conversation about the "church" and it's practices, policies and beliefs. I love exposes and investigative type shows so it's no surprise I am completely hooked on it. Leah and Mike Rinder, both former Scientologists, go around and expose some of the "church's" less than honorable practices and policies. They talk to former Scientologists, many of whom are in the entertainment industry. I don't want to give too much away. You can see for yourself. It airs on Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. on A&E.

Next up is my local TJMaxx store. It's a Runway store so it always has the best stuff at the best prices. I recently scored two new pars of casual slip on sneakers on clearance! Sam Edelman (silver) and Mia (blue).

We have been eating lots more meatless meals in my house which brings me to my new favorite cookbook...

I've made a couple of things so far and they have been really good. The best part is that no one missed the meat at all. Yay!

I have a confession. Breakfast food is *not* my favorite. I would much rather eat a bowl of pasta at 7 am than a bowl of cereal. LOL However, put biscuits, gravy and grits in front of me and all bets are off. This is pure Heaven to me right here. Thank you Cracker Barrel.

And my last favorite thing for this Friday is a quote I came across on Instagram. It's something I struggle with a lot. I think I might need it tattooed on the under side of my wrist. :/

Happy weekend!!! Go Dodgers!!!!!

I LOVE that show too!! I personally think that Scientology should be labeled as a cult rather then a "religion" and not have tax exempt status. The amount of abuse that goes on in this "church" is disgusting.

I LOVE your clothes that you found. Wish my TJ's was a runway store. They didn't have anything good last time I went!!

How are you getting your family to eat meatless meals? My daughter will but forget Chris. He is meat and potatoes all the way!!
I've never heard of a TJ Maxx runway store but it sounds amazing! Love my discount stores! I love the placemat in the cookbook pic...where is it from? Jaclyn www.coffeepancakesandreams.com

Nora, I agree, it Scientology should be classified as a religion! I tell ya, I have to make myself not go to TJMaxx too often or I would be broke. Lol. Stew is a huge meat man. His favorite quote is from Arby's. We have the meats! Haaaa. But he will indulge me in a day or two a week. If I do nay, ore, then I just make him a meat and serve him what we have as a side. It works.

Jaclyn, I had never heard of one either until I moved near one. There is such a big difference in what they carry. It has a lot more higher end name brands. Sometimes they are still too expensive. I just wait for them to go on clearance The placemat is from Ikea. I hope you have one near you! Thanks for stopping by!
