Things I *Heart* Right Now




Dirk Nowitzki: The NBA finals are in full swing and altho I want the Heat to win I can't help but root for Dirk. Tall, blond and an AMAZING shooter. What more can you ask for in a ball player? ;)





Ballet Flats: I bought two pairs for the season...a practical black pair and a funky gold pair. Too Flippin' CUTE!

Cheap vintage tops: I am in love with that whole sweet vintage 60's look...thin capris, ballet flats and cute funky tops a la MTM on the Dick Van Dyke Show. I just got me thee CUTEST black & white polka dot top with buttons and a bow at H&M. At $24.50, it was a steal.



Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches: Oh man! DELISH! But, at the rate I eat them, I'll be anything BUT skinny come July. :D

Running: Been doing a lot of it lately and it feels FABULOUS! Ain't nothing like a runner's high! :D



Pretty Pink Lip Gloss: My favorite is from Nars called Foul Play. You can get it at Sephora.

I want some ballet flats but I really have enough shoes already...

I *heart* Land's End clothes (and the fact that you can return things to Sears). I also *heart* summer fruit - watermelon, cherries, cantaloupe, peaches, plums, etc!!!

Awe, cool finds! Lovin' the shoes and will have to hunt down that lipgloss! Pretty!!

I'm loving all the fresh fruit we have this time of year. white flesh peaches today! Yum!

I've taken a couple of days off from my daily walks. Glad to hear about your running!! That's so great! Thanks for motivating me to get my butt back out there tonight.

Happy Pink Saturday! I have been going thru my summer photos and I came across this cool shot of my DD in her bright pink shirt in front of the M in MMOCA...Miami Museum of Contemporary Art. Craftiness & a Holiday Headstart

These are on their way to some friends for whom I am very grateful to have in my life. :) I got this as a gift from Sweet Mellie who was my Secret Santa last year but didn't have enough time to make it so I made it today. Isn't it CUTE!? I plan on filling the draws with little treats for the kiddos to enjoy each day leading up to and including Christmas Day. Should be FUN. I noticed that I put holly berries in the middle of my flowers instead of regular old brads but it's too late now. Them suckers are glue dotted on. :O I think I got my Christmas card photo!!!!!! What do you think?

Color of the Week - Orange

This year our annual pumpkin picking trip took us to Barton Orchards up in Pauquag. It's a bit of a drive but they make picking an event. Hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, farmer's market and even apples...tons of apples. We picked a couple of pumkins and a bag of apples. It was a gorgeous day. But I think the best part for the kiddos was this slide they built into a mountain. It was underground and pretty long. I was able to get some cool shots of them coming out of it. Neat, huh? A sea of pumpkins. How's that for an orange photo? Dylan and his pick. :) Natty and her pick. :)
