Weekend Wrap Up

Image
This weekend was a busy one. My son is leaving for Europe this week on a school trip. He's going to Milan, Italy, the south of France and Barcelona, Spain. So, lots of shopping happened on Saturday. Last weekend, we discovered this great mall in Paramus, New Jersey but Dylan wasn't feeling well enough to go with us. We didn't let that stop us. I got this white tee from Banana Republic for $6.99 and this J Crew statement necklace for $14.98. Score! For lunch, we ate at Bobby's Burger Palace Bobby as in Bobby Flay of The Food Network. I had the Carolina turkey Burger. It was so good. The kids also shared this onion ring and sweet potato fry combo. I may or may not have stolen a fry or two. It was a successful shopping trip for the entire family. Dylan got new luggage, pants, shirts, etc. for his trip. The hubby got new shoes for work. Natalie got new running gear for track. And mama got new white jeans and shades from JCrew. That night, the gir

What I'm Reading Now

I am a total book nerd. It's not uncommon for me to have more than one book going at a time. I love bookstores and I absolutely love the library. I wanted to be a librarian when I was younger. LOL! I like to read all genres. It really doesn't matter. If it interests me, I will read it. If it comes highly recommended, I will read it. You know how people binge watch tv series on Netflix? Well, I binge read authors when I find one I like. A couple of years ago, I picked up a Nancy Martin book while I was perusing the library mystery shelves. I got hooked instantly on the zany but lovable cast of characters and have gone back to read the earlier ones in this series. I love reading and seeing the characters develop. These are the two newest ones I picked up at the library yesterday. I can't wait to read them. Next up, I'm going to binge read Lianne Moriarity. I am going to start with Big Little Lies. I can't wait!

Lately the weekends seem to go by in a blur. So, I am determined to be better about documenting them here. That way when I get around to actually scrapbooking the photos, I wont have to try and remember everything that happened. It was really nice and mild out so I wore a sweater and jeans with my Ugg boots. I love not having to wear a coat. Saturday started out with getting McDonald's breakfast for the boy before he has to go to his SAT tutoring session. After the tutor, just he and I went to lunch at Chop't. He had the Mexican Caesar Salad and I had the Chicken Tinga. It was so good. Oh, and I love Fresca. Not a lot of places carry it, so when I see it, I have to have it. Starbucks is right next door so we popped in for a couple of lattes. I tried the Tiramisu latte for the first time It was really good. I always get a kick out of those photos that people post where Starbucks butchers their names. Well, I am now one of them. The funny thing is that the
