Poncho Villa

Image
WooHoo! I finally finished Natty's poncho (well almost). All I have to do is add the fringe. She insisted on wearing it all last week to school even tho it is not finished. I love these fun colors. Now I'm working on a poncho for my niece's first birthday in March and beach hats for both of the kiddos. Fun!!!!! I *almost* like hanging out at the lys as much as I do the lss. Knit on! :D

So, I need a haircut really badly. I am always very adventurous when it comes to my hair. I've been eye-balling this cut for a month now. And, I think I'm ready to take the plunge. Whaddya think?

Fresh Face

Image
I'm so excited!! CK's Top Ten issue is on the stands and it's my first time being pubbed in CK. I was one of the top ten fresh faces. Dylan was so excited to see himself in a magazine. He thinks he's a star now. LOL! Natty said..."Hey, where's me?" LOL! My husband who just doesn't get it was a total and complete buzz kill. But I didn't let him get me down. I'm enjoying my little 15 minutes of fame. :)

Rule #6

Don't take yourself so goddamn seriously! I have a problem with patience. Mainly, I don't have any. And it is a sore point with me. I want it! I crave it! However, a friend of mine told me never to pray for patience because God will test you. LOL! So what am I supposed to do? About a year ago I bought the Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I read a few chapters and, as with all other self help books, never picked it up again. That was until a couple of weeks ago. Now I cannot put it down. He has this chapter on leading a tranquil, stress-free life that speaks volumes to me. In it he discusses Rule #6. In one scenario I would have bet the farm that he was talking just about me. Ya know, when you are on line and the person in front of you is taking forever to find the exact change and you want to scream or just pay for her order so that it can be your turn? I realized that by feeling that way I think I am more important than her or that my time is more valuable than hers. And

Stress

Now I know what it means when someone says stress is a killer. These last few weeks have been very stressful. Illnesses, death, bills, etc. But I'm going to do my best to control it. I know I cannot control outside stresses and the things and people that cause them but I can control me! I've vowed to get back to the gym. Which I did yesterday and it felt great! I planned my meals for the week and bought the groceries. I made a list of things to do and did them all! At the end of the day I felt in control and at peace. Yay! If you have any tips for me, I'd love to hear them! Peace out! Mo

Coolest Markers Ever!

Image
This month my product spotlight for Scrapjazz is these really cool souffle markers by Sakura of America. They create the look of embossing with out the heat. They alter the color of metal and chipboard and are fabulous to doodle with. You can even use them to fill in color on transparent accents like I did in the Salty Air layout. They take just a few short minutes to dry and you can see them drying before your very eyes.. So, no need to worry about smearing. The layouts I created using them are currently my favorites. See them in action for yourself above.

My Little Bro

Image
I absolutely adore my brother Anthony! I am 9-1/2 years older than him and when he was born I thought he was my baby. LOL! We have so much in common, sports, music, etc. He totally spoils my kiddos. And they think he is the greatest. So do I. :) I realized I never do any layouts about him. I'm making that a priority in this new year. Be on the lookout for more of my little bro. :) This is him and his girfriend Denise at our house last June. Mo
